The Chicago Cubs, previously known as the Chicago White Stockings, is a professional baseball club based in Chicago. The Cubs' popularity in the baseball world and the loyalty from their fans have allowed the franchise to enjoy a large number of attendees and attention every season.

The Chicago Cubs have also gained popularity due to their various wins in national and renowned baseball championships as the World Series and the National League Central.

As seen in the chart above, 2008 marks the year with the highest assistance for The Cubs. This peak could be explained due to their victories in The National League Central in both 2007 and 2008. Holding the champions title encourages fans to attend their games and support the team.

Despite the fact that The Cubs on average have high attendance, between 2012 and 2014 they did not win any big titles and the number of attendees had a considerable drop. However, in 2016 their numbers peaked again and surpassed the 3 million as they won the World Series.
